What this is for

One shared album for the whole trip, plus the group photo contest. Everything you upload goes to your group's album. Only your group and the committee can see it during the trip, and the whole collection is kept for the company afterwards.

Everyone has 5 hearts to spend on their group's photos. The most-hearted float to the top.

Your captain picks the final 5 from the top of the list — the photos that fit the three themes best.

Capture the beauty of our journey — with our people in the picture! The beauty of the destination with at least 5 people in the photo. They do not have to be from your own group — anyone from the company enjoying the scenery and the journey together.

Getting started

  1. Get your 6-digit group code from your captain.
  2. Open trip.utracon.com, type the code, tap Continue.
  3. Find your name in the list, tap it, tap Enter. You stay signed in.
  4. Add it to your home screen: iPhone — Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Android — tap Install in the box on the Capture tab (or Chrome's ⋮ menu, then Install app). Open the link in Chrome itself, not inside WhatsApp.

Taking and uploading photos

  1. On the Capture tab, tap Open camera to shoot, or Choose from phone to pick photos you already took. You can select many at once.
  2. They appear under Uploads with a progress bar each.
  3. Upload now sends them straight away. Hold for Wi-Fi keeps everything on your phone — camera shots too — until you tap the green Upload button at the hotel.
  4. When the card says All uploaded, they are in the group album. Tap Clear done to tidy the list.

Hearts and the final five

  1. On the Photos tab, tap ♡ on a photo you like. You have 5 hearts; tap a solid heart to take it back.
  2. The card at the top shows hearts left and how many of your group have voted.
  3. Captains: tap Choose the final five, pick the 5 photos that fit the themes best (most-hearted first), add captions if you like, then Save entry. You can change it until the deadline shown in the app.

Questions

The camera button does nothing

Make sure the address starts with https:// — phones only allow the camera on a secure page. If you said no to camera permission, use Choose from phone instead, or allow the camera in your browser settings.

My photo has been "uploading" for ages

Hotel Wi-Fi drops out. The queue keeps trying by itself — leave the app open for a minute, or tap Retry failed. Photos wait safely on your phone until they get through; nothing is lost by closing the app.

I want to save data while roaming

Tap Hold for Wi-Fi on the Capture tab. Photos queue up on the phone and you upload them all at the hotel with one tap.

Android says the app cannot be installed

You are probably viewing the page inside WhatsApp or another chat app, which cannot install web apps. Open trip.utracon.com in Chrome itself and tap Install in the box on the Capture tab.

I cannot see other groups' photos

That is by design during the trip. You see your own group's album; the committee sees all of them.

I ran out of hearts

Tap a solid heart to take it back, then spend it on the other photo.

I uploaded something by mistake

Go to Me, open the photo and tap Delete. To have someone else's photo removed, open it and tap Report.

I got signed out

Sign in again with the same group code and name. Your uploads and hearts are still there.

Wrong code, or my name is missing

Check the code with your captain — after eight wrong tries the app pauses for a while. If your name is not in the list, tell your captain and the committee will add you.

Who can see my photos afterwards?

The whole collection is kept for the company's trip album. Only the album — nothing else on your phone is touched. See how your photos are handled.
